Experience Movie Magic: Tabitha, Teen Reviewer

Thomas J. Hanks was born July 9, 1956 in Concord, California. He didn't get into acting until college, when he was rejected for the school play. As a result, he auditioned for a community theater play which led to his discovery as an actor. His wife Rita Wilson, is an actress, and his son from his first marriage, Colin Hanks has also recently been bitten by the bug (Roswell tv series and movie Get Over It opposite Kirsten Dunst). An interesting fact, Tom Hanks is a direct descendent of Nancy Hanks, the mother of Abraham Lincoln. Tom's first big role came in Splash, and since then, he has been making hit movies non stop, such as Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, and most recently Cast Away. He is the only actor since Spencer Tracy in 1937 and 1938 to win back to back Oscars. Tom has also gotten into producing mini tv series (From the Earth to the Moon) and even writing and directing a motion picture (That Thing You Do). Expectations of his future films are high, and his past films certainly prove he will not disappoint.
