Synopsis: An undercover cop (Paul Walker) joins a street racing gang in order to catch a group of high speed thieves.
It's sexy and thrilling, with plenty of hot actors that keep the eyes fixated on the screen, and lots of high speed racing and chasing scenes that keep the audience at the edge of their seats. If you liked the chasing scenes in Gone In 60 Seconds, then you'll like this. It's very entertaining, particularly the climax chase.
It does, however, have more than action. The bad guy is not pure evil like many villians. There is a good side of him that gives the character dimension, adds to the emotional conflict, and makes the entire plot thicker. The story is also made more complex and interesting due to the friendship between the good guy vs. bad guy. The film reminded me of an older Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves movie, Point Break, which, I enjoyed by the way. Action movies are always so much better when emotions are thrown in, and it works in this movie.
Bottomline: Girls and guys alike will enjoy the movie, which makes it a good date film.
