Experience Movie Magic: Tabitha, Teen Reviewer

Rated: PG-13
Running Time:1:43
Tabitha's Rating: ***/5
Synopsis: A father becomes increasingly concerned about his son's new stepfather, when his child swears he witnessed the stepfather commit murder.

The problem with this movie is that it is so mediocre. Just another story. Nothing special about it at all. Somewhat original storyline, but it's not much anyway. I didn't fall asleep, but I wasn't at the edge of my seat like a suspense movie should make me. There wasn't anything terribly horrible about it any more than there was anything terribly special about it either. The fighting sequences were so average compared to all the spectacular action out today. One word for the script: CHEESEY. But hey, at least it makes you smirk and smile even as you roll your eyes.

The characters were pretty much predictable, but there are no complaints with the actors portraying the charactrs. Vince Vaugn can be pretty creepy looking. John Travolta is really a great actor, without a doubt. He did a fine job with the film. His problem is, he has a really hard time picking out the good scripts. He hit the jackpot with Pulp Fiction, Grease, and Saturday Night Fever, it's just unfortunate he doesn't get the best scripts most of the time.
Bottomline: I know this was a pretty short review, but the movie was just so terribly average there's just not much to say about it.
