Summary- This story is interesting in that it is almost entirely a flashback. Bond is in Chicago, going to meet an old lady friend. Along the way, he reminisces about the time they met. It was many years ago, and Bond had to get a defector out of Russia. She was a famous skater, Natalia Lustokov. Bond goes out on the ice during one of her practices and starts to help her with her routine. Both her body guards and her coach try to stop Bond. He fights them, and it is during this diversion that an FBI man sneaks Natalia to safety. At the end, Bond hooks up with the girl he is going to see. My Grade- B- Compared to Fleming's very short story "007 in New York" this story doesn't seem quite as good. It is more action packed, but less plot-driven. Best Moment As with "007 in New York", the best moment is the end. Benson sort of leads the reader to think that Bond is back in Chicago to see Natalia. In fact, he is there to see Janet Davies, the lady who filmed the incident!! (This is also the only time Bond had ever been on TV.)
