JUMPSUIT

The fabric: Wool Gaberdine. You'll need about 4 yards of black, and about 1/2 yard of the division color. Once again, buy your pattern through LINCOLN ENTERPRISES. This is like a workman's jumpsuit so remember, it will look really big till you read on. This pattern tells you everything you will need for this uniform so follow what it says. Almost all my patterns have a 5/8" seam. Make sure you label everything FRONT-BACK etc.

Begin sewing. You should start with the body first, then the yolk and sleeves.

Sew the two pieces together. You now have a Starfleet uniform!!!! You still need to figure out where the waist line is for you and sew the waist panels. You'll have to rip open the seams where the waist panels meet the seam. Start by pinning the panel to your uniform. Top stitch on the top and bottom of the panel. Insert your elastic and sew where you ripped open in the back. This will hold the elastic from the back. Put your uniform on. Pull the elastic from the front. You'll see the panels starting to gather. Have somebody pin in place and sew back your seam. ( I should have mentioned that your zipper should already be sewn in.)
Just in case, reinforce the seam where the elastic meets it

UNIFORM 2

This uniform is basicly the same uniform, but was designed to be the Captains uniform. Sew it exactly the same as you would the uniform above. This time, when you get to the waist belt, you are going to add a 1" strap to the outside and attach a black buckle.

One trick to this uniform. On the inside of the uniform you will have to sew an inner belt to both sides and buckle it first, then zip up your uniform. This uniform has seams that run from the center of both legs all the way up to the breast. Because of the elastic, if you dont have the inner belt, those seams will bow outward around the stomach area.

INSIGNIA/COMBADGE There are two types. My recommondations are wear the one you like. Beware of the shiny badge. Your badge should not be reflective. It should have more of a metalic look. I attached mine with velcro like they do on the show, but you can just pin yours.

RANK PIPS Decide on the rank and pin to your collar. The actual pin is just a little over 1/4" in diameter and are not shiny

HOLSTERS You'll need these for your phaser and tricorder.
