Dear Journal, My mother came back. I am happy that she did because there are so many things that I need to ask her about mothering. There are so many questions that I had to ask her that I think her head could just explode. She is living two blocks away from where we live, and that makes me feel very comforted. Jack seems fine with it, and I think in a way that he is happy that she found me. He was telling me last night in bed that I should be thankful to at least have a mother. I have to remember that both of his parents died in a fire. He also told me that if Mother didn't love me, she wouldn't have been so filled with happiness that I was still alive. I thought that that was very nice of Jack to say, and very thoughtful of him, too. Anna and Scott just had their child a month ago, and she is so adorable. Madeline Ann Cook is their daughter's name. The three stopped by today, and I introduced them to mother. Anna and Scott commented on our resemblance. Almost everywhere we went, we always used to get comments on our resemblance. I told mother about the Taylors and their little one who is growing. I told them that they were on vacation, but they would be back tomorrow. I think that mother likes it here in Norfolk, but I'm not certain. She has been lately talking about a man named Jonathan Brinkley. She said that she sees him every morning before she goes to work. He owns a bakery, and every morning she goes in there for breakfast, and they always talk while she eats. I'm a little suspicious if the two like each other, or maybe they're just good friends.
Dear Journal, The Taylors came over today, and I introduced them to Mother. They both seem to like each other. Mother came over after work, and told me that she and Jonathan were going to go out tonight. I am a little hesitant about it. What if this Jonathan breaks my mother's heart? I know it sounds silly, but it could happen. Yet, my mother has her own mind, and she will do what she pleases. She said that if they have time she will come over and introduce me to him. I told her not to take off from their time together. She could introduce me to him later. Well, I'm really not feeling very well so I'm going to go and take a nap.
