Through Dangers Untold and Hardships Unnumbered
The movie, the Labyrinth , has touched many people, including everyone in my life, from friends to even babysitting clients! However, it wasn't like I "grew up" with the movie. The first time I saw it was actually just two years ago. The first time I saw it was on the Disney Channel and I recorded it on tape. When I was little I remember seeing the making of the movie on a tv special but didn't really think anything of it, because the goblins looked "yucky". I didn't think much of it until I moved to a different state. I had no friends and nothing to do except watch my collection of movies.. I came across the tape one day and while I watched it I realized how much I identified with Sarah. Then there was Jareth! He made my heart flutter (I think it was the pants!) After I saw the movie again I fell in love with it! All my friends have now seen it and so have the kids I babysit for! It is now my mission to have the Labyrinth touch as many people as I know because this movie is really magical and it has so many levels to it and to try to figure all its meanings are impossible! It can be seen as a childrens movie but it is so much more! So without further ado, I wish to bring you my take on this cinematic masterpiece!

The tale tells of a fifteen year old girl, Sarah ( Jennifer Connely ) who is fed up with her life and her half brother, Toby. She's stuck at home babysitting for Toby and can't take it any longer: "I wish the goblins would come and take you away...Right now!" Jareth, the Goblin King ( David Bowie ) hears Sarah's plea and does as she wishes... "What's said is said!" Now Sarah must solve the Labyrinth within thirteen hours or else Toby will become a goblin, forever!
