Monsters Inc.

"Monsters Inc." Rated G
****/*****

Monsters Inc., a very "cute" story developed by the geniuses over at Pixar, succeeds on many levels. Like all of their films, Monsters Inc. is fun for kids of any age, but adults can enjoy it just as much. That is what makes all of Pixar's movies so good, and this one is no exception. It's not as good as the Toy Story movies, buts it's good.

Billy Crystal and John Goodman play the voices of two monsters named Bill and Skully. They work for Monsters Inc., an electric company in Monstropolis which collects the screams of children for power. It's dangerous work as kids are highly dangerous to monsters. One day when working late, Skully runs into a girl from our world and then all the trouble starts to happen. Skully and Bill are forced to find a way to get the girl home while the CDA (Child Detection Agency) is looking for her.

Monsters Inc. is really well thought out, and it is interesting to see all the complicated machinery involved with scaring. The two lead voices are perfect and work very well off of each other. The animation is fantastic. The story is clever and almost intolerable "cute". All in all, this is a film anyone can enjoy, and most people WILL enjoy. If you liked Toy Story go see Monsters Inc.
