However, the ring unleashes its own power as a result of the struggle....

Critic Review
I cannot express how I feel in words. It is unbelievable. Two years from now, I quite possibly could be dead. This movie was so impressive that I had to see it again. And again. And I wouldn't mind seeing it some more. This dismal year for quality movies was salvaged in one breathtaking swoop by this film. Lord Of The Rings has everything: action, adventure, sword-fighting, suspense, strange creatures, comedy, drama, peril, romance, darkness, depth, and the list goes ever on. One of the most impressive elements was the acting. With a cast suchas this, it is easy to simply brush away as amature acting. In reality, it is exactly the opposite. Viggo, Elijah, and Ian McKellan could not have fit the characters any better. In fact, I couldn't have chosen a better cast myself. The visuals in this movie were also unspeakable. It boggles the mind mow great this movie is. And Howard Shore's score is perfect. What more could anyone want from a movie? I'll tell you. Two sequels which were all filmed at the same time. What we'll have is the next Star Wars trilogy, and that is hard to beat. "The best movie ever!" "So entertaining!" "A film triumph!" "The first real fantasy film in years." "The best movie of the year 2001!" "Rivaled only by Star Wars!" "A movie to see over and over again!" "Perfect!" "The Lord of the Film Industry!" "*****!"
