The John Kaessner Biography

A bit over dramatic? I can think of ten films that received dramatic credit that were completely bogus (just check out my Poor Films page). My name is John "Jonny" Kaessner. I am but a teen, who has a lust for music and movies. When I'm not on the computer (which isn't a lot of time), I find my interests in reading and writing. I don't play any sports (yet, I will play rugby for my school in 2001). My favorite color is on this page, and on every other page (black, if you can't yet tell). For those who think black isn't a qualifying color, blue would come up second. I am a giant (as I am labled by my peers), yet I feel much smaller than many people. My favorite bands include Metallica, Korn, Kid Rock, Ozzy, Pantera, Creed, Powerman 5000, etc. I love heavy metal. I also like some rap (DMX, Bone-Thugz, Jay-Z, 2-Pac, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, etc.). But, my newest discovery is orchestral music. I find the soundtracks to many of my favorite movies to have beautiful scores. I recommend the Star Wars music, Gladiator, The Rock, Braveheart, and Ronin.

What biography would be complete without a little about my life. I am the second of three children (Joe is my older, Ingrid is my lesser). I was born in October of '84 to Maryanne and Dave. I live in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado, a long trip from my birthplace of Oceanside, California. I like to travel to places such as Las Vegas, Washington D.C., and Virginia. I am at a loss for pets (however, there is a turtle and a hampster in our household). I thouroughly enjoy camping, and other outdoor activites. I am in the Boy Scouts of America (one step away from Eagle). I have a fond interest in the military, for my dad was in the Marines and my mom in the Navy. My aspirations in life are to go to college, become a lawyer, write a novel, and live on the East Coast.

These are my favorite sports teams. They are God, and everyone else should bow down!

Denver Broncos
Baltimore Ravens - (34-7 beat on the Giants, baby! Super Bowl Champs!)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chicago White Sox
San Francisco Giants
Cincinatti Reds
Colorado Avalanche

Of course, you probably would like to know my favorite movies. Even though there are lists all over the site of great films, I haven't yet revealed my favorite movies. Here are the top ten (in no particular order):

Sleepy Hollow
Pitch Black
Gladiator
Ronin
Pulp Fiction
The Matrix
The Mummy Returns
Mission:Impossible 2
The Patriot
The Rock

I love watching movies. I usually see a movie within the first few weeks of it's release. If I don't, I'll eventually rent it on video. It hasn't been until just about a year ago when I became such a movie buff. I still have hundreds of movies to see which I never got the chance to when I was younger. My goal in this case is to have a knowledge of most every movie, actor, and filmmaker. In the words of Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone: "Isn't that a daisy?"
