Cast:

Tim Robbins
Joan Cusack
Hope Davis
Spencer Treat Clark

George Washington University professor Michael Faraday (Jeff Bridges) teaches a course in terrorism, but after his wife, an FBI agent, is killed under questionable circumstances, he becomes obsessed with the topic. An all-American family moves in across the street, but Faraday soon suspects that they might be terrorists themselves. Bridges's portrayal of the man fighting against a virtually unseen enemy, with no one believing him, is reminiscent of Jimmy Stewart in Alfred Hitchcock's The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Directed by Mark Pellington - Rated R

Critic Review

I loved this. It worked out so perfectly. From the beginning of the movie to the end, there were so many suprises and twists to the story. You could almost sense how fake the smiles were, and how suspicious they were. Plus, the ending was spectacular. Even though it was tragic, and totally unfair, it's true! Stuff like that happens, and there isn't anything that can be done. If I gave the award to the best actor in this movie, it would be Joan Cusack. She was so insincere and fake that it was scary. I loved this movie! "A thriller that is good to the last second!" "This movie was the bomb!"
