I was looking through a Pokemon magazine that featured the new Pokemon that are in the new "Gold" and "Silver" and I noticed this new pocket monster. The new Pokemon Heracross looks too much like our freind Megalon to be a coincidence. Either Nintendo is paying tribute to the Godzilla series or their running out of ideas. On the Pokemon TV show, one of the first new Pokemon that Ash catches in the Johto Islands is Heracross. He is quite common in fields and forests. To me he looks like Megalon's little brother. I've done some research on this new pocket monster and heres what I found...
When battling enemies, it wrenches into their bodies with its horn, then powerfully hurls them into the air. Heracross's name means "Hercules with a horn." A Heracross can easily knock over a strong man by swinging its horn at him. It bears a strong resemblance to Pinsir/Kairosu from the Red and Blue version, but does not evolve from or into it.
