ABOUT ME!

My name is Nigel. I'm 14 and I have been a Godzilla fan for as long time. I never really cared much for dinosaurs until I saw "Jurassic Park" and after that I couln't get enough of monsters and dinosaurs.
One day I was at Wal-Mart and I saw the original Goodtimes release of "King Kong vs. Godzilla" for (I think) $6.99. I bought it 'cause the cover looked really cool... Kong and Godzilla locked in battle over Mt. Fuji, while puny humans flee for thier lives on the bottom.

Not knowing the effect it would have on me, I took it home and watched the entire thing without a break. It must have really been a great film to keep a 7 year old at bay for and hour and a half! After that, I searched everywhere for Godzilla! A few weeks later, I found a "Trendmasters" Godzilla with sound on clearance for $1.00 in the toys at Wal-Mart and then found "Godzilla: King of the Monsters!" in the video department for the low price of $6.99. I got those and then found a 2-pack of "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" and "Godzilla vs. Megalon" at K-Mart for $9.99. 21 movies later... here I am with the entire Godzilla collection. I have even found "Godzilla Raids Again" and "Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster", which are the two hardest to find G-films of all. Most of the time, there is always a G-movie on while I'm at home. I eat, sleep, and breath Godzilla... and really is that all that bad? My room is FULL of Godzilla... from my 1985 "Imperial" Godzilla to my 1998 "Trendmasters" "Ultimate Godzilla" which is over 2 ft. long!

Godzilla has inspired me to do a lot of diffrent things,

1. Make my own stop-motion animated film that I call "Horror Ape". Although King Kong has something to do with this too, Godzilla was my main insperation and it won me 2nd place in the media festival at my school. I used the "Bonecrusher" action figure from the Congo line of toys. Using handmade sets, he battled the evil "Mangori" in the streets causing panic in the city.

2. The Godzilla gave me some really cool monsters to draw, and that got me into drawing more than I ever was before, and they are pretty much what I draw every day now... Godzilla, Titanosaurus, Rodan are always battling on the sides of school worksheets, underneith essays, basically anywhere I have room on my paper.

There are more things, but I don't have to list them all right now.

Other than Godzilla, my favorite bands are KISS and The Beatles. They got some of the best songs ever written and beat out any rapper or hard rocker that are out today... despite what my freinds say. KISS is nearing the conclusion of their "Farewell Tour". They have been touring from more than 30 years and I got to see them! I mean, even if you don't like Gene, Paul, Peter, and Ace how can you hate the song "Rock n' Roll All Nite"? Click on thier picture to go to the official KISS web site. And what can I say about The Beatles, only that thier the most succesful band that ever existed. I don't think theres one person on the planet who can say they "don't like the band". They just released a new album featuring all 27 of their #1's. Click on their pic to visit thier offical site.

Some of my favorite shows are "The Simpsons", "Batman Beyond", "Futurama", and "Sienfeld". Those rank among the top, but I like just about anything from "Pokemon" to "Saturday Night Live". I like to watch all the late night shows... my favorite being "Late Night with Conan O'Brien". I always try to stay up and watch it at 12:35, even though I have to get up for school at 5:30.
