Gigan is a monster that hails from Outer Space, he has fought Godzilla twice! Gigan is the protector from Space Hunter Universe M and first appeared in 1972 teaming with Ghidorah against Godzilla and Angilious in "Godzilla vs. Gigan". "Godzilla vs. Megalon" was Gigan's second and last Godzilla film (but, he did fight Godzilla along side Ghidorah in a few episodes of "Zone Fighter" which pretty much like "Ultraman"). Although in both "Godzilla vs. Gigan" and "Godzilla vs. Megalon" he plays as sidekick to Ghidorah (in "Gigan") and Megalon ("Megalon"), he seems to be much smarter than both Megalon and Ghidorah together. Gigan is one of Godzilla's most challanging foes, because of his razor sharp arms, stomach, feet, and wings. He can fly a speeds up to Mach 5 and is said to be able to shoot a powerful ray just above his eye. In the two films he was in, Gigan was played by Kengo Nakayama. Alot of people credit Gigan as a one of Godzilla's most campiest enemies, but should be place with Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah as one of Toho Studios most creative monsters! Thats my opinion anyway.
