ONE OF THE BLOODIEST SAGAS IN HISTORY...ABOUT THE BEGINNING... Setting: Serene Camp Crystal Lake, a location destined to be the site of some of the most brutal murders in the history of the planet... The mayhem is initiated by the unfortunate(it would turn out to be VERY unfortunate for A LOT of people) demise of little Jason Vorhees, who drowns while two counselors who should've been keeping an eye on him were submitting to certain "passions of the flesh". A time goes by and then people--camp counselors--begin dying. Were the coroner's reports to be read they would all indicate that the "manner" of the deaths were HOMICIDE. Now, the "Causes" of these MANY homicides were varied. Generally, however, it could be stated that each murder victim died from MASSIVE BLOOD LOSS. In this episode of serial/spree/mass death, individuals have their THROATS CUT OPEN, BODIES PUNCTURED BY VARIOUS SHARP INSTRUMENTS and NICE, AXE-INDUCED FACE-SPLITTINGS! Let's put it this way: The person who performed these murders wanted to BE SURE that those counselors were DEAD. How the FBI might classify this murderer in a "profile": Seems to have it out for society; perhaps severely mistreated throughout life and wants to take revenge on those who symbolize those who brought perceived and real pain to them; exhibits both organized and disorganized traits--an example of organization indicated by the lack of phyical evidence from perpetrator left at scene; disorganization also seems to be evident, as bodies aren't hidden extremely well. It's finally revealed that the murderer is, indeed, the mother of the boy who drowned, Pamela Vorhees. This is one mean woman! She is certainly VERY SADISTIC, as there is a kind of glee evident in her manner. Also, she just obviously shows no mercy, ignoring the pleas of those she is coming after like a sweater-clad Terminator. Ms. Vorhees is finally stopped in a brutal battle with the last living counselor, HER HEAD LOPPED OFF by the machette Pamela had been using as a death implement. This is one the greatest beheadings ever committed to film!

THE BODYCOUNT CONTINUES
Despite Camp Crystal Lake's murderous history a new group of individuals descend upon the site, more or less in search of a "good time". Now, we all saw Pamela Vorhees get her head taken off by a machete-wielding camp couselor in the first segment of this saga, yet the bodies begin piling up again. And again the deaths are pretty "thorough" in that the killer definitely wanted these people to not be alive to see the following day. This killer seems to have the same basic "style" to the way he or she is murdering individuals as the murderer of several years back. Is this a copycat? Is it Pamela's ghost? Oh noooooo...It is neither of these. This "person" turns out to be HUNDREDS of times worse than the Lake's original murderess. For this is the son of the beheaded. This was the force of nature that, years later, would become known to the entire civilized world as one of the worst--if not THE worst--serial killer in human history. This was the reaper embodied. This...was Jason Vorhees. Mr. Vorhees starts off with murdering the woman who had killed his mother. Then he moves on to carry on Mommy's "work" at the camp... Jason stalks about in an old potato sack--slits cut for the eyes--over his head. This comes off towards the end of this gruesome episode, and revealed is a hideously deformed...monster. A couple of the counselors survive, thinking that the beast is defeated, but he is merely resting...waiting for the next victims to stroll up to his doorstep and try to challenge his authority. Jason is just getting started. And he seems to be enjoying it with the sadistic glee his mother had experienced during her blood reign... |
A NEW DAY AND MORE FRESH BLOOD FOR THE VORHEES BOY
This chapter in Jason Vorhees's life would be filmed with 3-dimensional effects to help better convey the terror those kids experienced during his killing spree. It was at this point in Jason's life that he obtained a new covering for his face--which he seems very self-conscious about despite his killing virtually everyone who sets eyes on him! From a prankster in the new group of "pre-victims" he gets his giant hands on a good-quality hockey mask with a small, inverted triangle painted between and just above the eyeholes. This account of Jason's life has the man speargunning people, pitchforking individuals, and maybe one of the best death scenes ever, squeezing one man's head until his eyes pop from his head!!! Vorhees is a natural at this death dealing, it's just so obvious. |
THE FINAL CHAPTER
The Vorhees saga picks up where it left of in the 3-Dimensional telling. We again find ourselves at "Camp Blood", and it is nighttime. The police, coroner, and ambulances are converging upon this deadly zone, awestruck at the sight of the corpses lying about, so obviously murdered. They load the corpses up into the county vehicles, including the hockey-masked killer himself. It is an eerie feeling being at this place. Back in the county morgue: Jason's "corpse" is loaded into a freezer compartment for later autopsy. But we soon realize that Vorhees was not DEAD but merely UNCONSCIOUS. He lets the doctor in on this little secret by hacksawing the doctor's throat open! Jason goes on to kill a nurse by pinning her up against the wall by her throat, lifting her right up off her feet and then thrusting a scalpel into her abdomen. Then he's off to his old home... |
