2001: A Space Oddesey

Sci-Fi

Shadee

Stanley Kubrick's best film ever. The epic of the discover of the monolith and the misunderstood HAL 9000 computer. Definitely a good movie to watch buzzed, especially at the end, excellent visual affects even for 1969.

2

Star Wars

Sci-Fi

Shadee

George Lucas' First of the Holy Trilogy. The film introduces Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Darth Vader, etc. Let's face it, if ya haven't seen this film already, ya probably wear a skirt.

3

The Usual Suspects

Action

Shadee

Superb flick about a bunch of criminals that are being set up for a conspiracy. Big explosions and tons of action! Cast includes Kevin Spacey and Stephen Baldwin. Definitely a plot twister.

4

Braveheart

Action/Drama

Shadee

Three full hours of blood and guts as Mel Gibson and the Celtics beat the Bejeezus out of the English. A very long movie, but very well worth it.

5

Mall Rats

Comedy

SnkeKungfu

Probally the funniest damn movie ever conceived. It has it all: La Fours, Jedi mind tricks, Jay and Silent Bob, and a three-nippled fortune teller.
Bottom line: We gonna bust this up like a high school kegger.

6

Kids

Drama

SnkeKungfu

Casper drinks enough 40 oz. to make Courtney Love look attractive, while Telly hooks it up with two virginal youngin's. Not to mention the most brutal park betting ever.
Bottom line: Mommy, please let me out of the closet!

7

Clerks

Comedy

Shadee

Arguably the best Kevin Smith production, and also his first. In black and white format, It involves a day in the life of two clerks. Clerks introduces Jay and Silent Bob. Super-duper funny stuff. Oh yeah, keep a dictionary handy for your own well being.

8

Flash Gordon

Sci-Fi

Shadee

Excellent flick about the adventures of the sci-fi comic book character, Flash Gordon. Kick-ass soundtrack by Queen, and has Max Von Sydow, and Timothy Dalton as part of the cast. This is hard to find at most video stores, but definitely one worth renting.

9

Reservoir Dogs

Action

Shadee

One of Quentin Tarantino's first acting/directing debuts. Tarantino tells the story sort of backwards. Remember this and everything almost makes sense. Nonetheless, still a gory and gun-chocked guy flick. "Can ya hear this?"

10

Dazed and Confused

Comedy

SnkeKungfu

Kegger on the 50. 70's teens get drunk, beat freshmen, and get freaky. End result, Your daddy forgot the condom.

11

Gone in 60 Seconds

Action

SnkeKungfu

It isn't out yet, but I already know it is the shizznit. Fast cars, fast women, and plenty of high speed chases.
Bottom line:Green means go!!!

12

Entrapment

Action

Shadee

Catherine Zeta Jones and Sean Connery are a couple of cat burglars in this techno action flick. It is worth it to buy this movie for one reason, and that is to see Ms. Jones prepare for one of the robberies. --Thatza very nice.

13

Days of Thunder

Action

Shadee

Real nice movie to try out that new DVD player or new surround sound system. Tom Cruise is NASCAR driver Cole Trickle. Slightly unrealistic as to what they show the drivers getting away with, but otherwise a fabulous soundtrack and good race sequences.

14

Life of Brian

Comedy

Shadee

Hilarious Monty Python comedy about an average guy that is mistaken for Jesus. He denies that he is the savior, but no one believes him. Get a couple beers and check this one out. And ask yourself, "What's so funny about Biggus Dickus?"

14

The Thomas Crown Affair

Action

Shadee

Thomas Crown is a self-made billionaire who can buy anything he wants and is irresistible to women. But there are some things that money can't buy. Thomas Crown has run out of challenges. Rene Russo's first movie without the dreaded no-nudity clause. Also it seems to shadow of a James Bond flick.

15

Blazing Saddles

Comedy

Shadee

In my opinion, Mel Brooks' best films, a spoof on the old west. Like most of his films, the movie is filled with zany antics and slapstick humor. Cleavon Little, and Gene Wilder star. Unbelievably funny, especially the "bean scene."

16

Apocalypse Now

Action

Shadee

Apocalypse Now can only be classified as a war epic. This is Francis Ford Coppola's interpretation of Joseph Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" novel. It is the story of an intelligence officer in the Vietnam War who is sent to remove a Colonel who the government feels has gone insane from command. Perfect "Flight of the Valkeries" sequence with... napalm.

17

Rambo

Action

SnkeKungFu

The origanal badass Mr.Rambo declares war on small hick town po-po's after being Rodney Kinged by the man.
Bottom Line: Mess with the best die like the rest.

18

Army of Darkness

Action-Comedy

SnkeKungFu

Ash, the drug store super hero, battles a slew of undead warriors with a chainsaw hand. Plenty of senseless violence.
Bottom line: Not the greatest story ever told but one worth telling.

19

The Sixth Sense

Action

SnkeKungFu

a Child psychologist (Bruce Willis) helps a deranged boy come to terms with a real big problem. This kid sees some weird sh** and I don't mean his parents Saturday morning activity. Stylish ending.
Bottom line: Just go see it.
