Brutally realistic film about the hardships of war, especially the first twenty minutes of it. See this on a big screen and surround sound to truly appreciate it.

| Watch this movie in the dark and you'll get the hoo-boo-jee-bee's. Kubrick's, creepy as hell, film about a family that take care of a resort during the winter, secluded from the rest of the world. Jack Nicholson played the perfect bad guy. Pay attention to the little things in this movie, such as when the kid is riding through the halls on his trike. Strange.

One of my personal favorites. Singles entails the lives of a bunch of single people that live in the same rental complex. Realistic situations and their interpretation of it. This movie came out in midst of the Seattle grudge craze, has an excellent soundtrack. Includes cameos from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
