Saving Private Ryan

Action

Shadee

Another true great my Speilberg. In the midst of World War II, a band of U.S. soldiers led by Tom Hanks goes on a mission to rescue their comrade, Matt Damon, who is trapped behind enemy lines. Brutally realistic film about the hardships of war, especially the first twenty minutes of it. See this on a big screen and surround sound to truly appreciate it.
The Shining

Horror

Shadee

Watch this movie in the dark and you'll get the hoo-boo-jee-bee's. Kubrick's, creepy as hell, film about a family that take care of a resort during the winter, secluded from the rest of the world. Jack Nicholson played the perfect bad guy. Pay attention to the little things in this movie, such as when the kid is riding through the halls on his trike. Strange.
Singles

Drama

Shadee

One of my personal favorites. Singles entails the lives of a bunch of single people that live in the same rental complex. Realistic situations and their interpretation of it. This movie came out in midst of the Seattle grudge craze, has an excellent soundtrack. Includes cameos from Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.
The Sixth Sense

Action

SnkeKungFu

Child psychologist (Bruce Willis) helps a deranged boy come to terms with a real big problem. This kid sees some weird sh** and I don't mean his parents Saturday morning activity. Stylish ending.
Snake Eyes

Action

Shadee

Nicolas Cage attends an Atlantic City boxing match with old friend Gary Sinise, who is in charge of the Secretary of Defense's security. During the fight, the Secretary is assassinated, and the entire arena is sealed off with all 14,000 patrons inside while an investigation is conducted. Santoro's hunt for the murderer leads him into a web of conspiracy in which all is not what it seems. Tons of twists that will keep you guessing
Sphere

Sci-Fi

Shadee

A team of scientists, Samuel L. Jackson, Dustin Hoffman, and Sharon Stone, go deep into the ocean to investigate what they believe to be a crashed alien ship. What they find defies logic, and they soon fall victim to a string of bizarre manifestations. Based upon the book by Michael Crichton, the same guy that wrote Jurassic Park.
The Spy Who Loved Me

Action

Shadee

Bond is sent to recover a microfilm showing the exact course of the British submarines. Amasova is sent on the same mission for the Russians, and the two team up to battle Stromberg's insane plan for an underwater colony.
Star Wars: A New Hope

Sci-Fi

Shadee

George Lucas' First of the Holy Trilogy. The film introduces Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Darth Vader, etc. Let's face it, if ya haven't seen this film already, ya probably wear a skirt.
Starship Troopers

Sci-Fi

Shadee

The earth is at war with a race of giant insect aliens. After startling casualties back home, an army of soldiers goes into space to take out a bunch of creepy spider lookin' bad guys. There's some real good eye candy in this one. Most critics didn't like it, but I'm not most critics. Nyah.
Summer of Sam

Suspense

Shadee

Accounts the summer of '77 when the .44 magnum killer made people in New York live in total fear. John Leguizamos and Mira Sorvino (mmm) star. This movie has all the nice muscle cars, some fine women, and some pretty horrid violence, what else do you need?
