Seann William Scott Bio and Pics

Bio

His name is Seann William Scott, and he is a native of Cottage Grove, Minnesota but to me he will always be Stifler. In his break through role in 1999's block buster hit comedy American Pie Seann played Stifler the cocky, wise cracking show off who was the rich kid in school and also the biggest asshole. I thought he was gr8 in this movie and I'm not alone. American Pie showed his acting talents and Hollywood took notice. While Pie was Seann's big break he has been in the acting business for years. He was discovered at a talent competition in Los Angeles, and almost immediately was flown to New York by ABC to test for All My Children.

Seann is one of the hottest young stars in Hollywood having appeared in such smashes as American Pie, produced by Warren Zide and Chris Moore for Universal Pictures and directed by Chris & Paul Weitz (Antz). Final Destination and Road Trip. He is also a star of Chad’s World, a pioneering episodic television project produced for Internet usage in real time video. Projected audience figures range as high as 35-40 million viewers. Digital Entertainment Network is producing this SAG project with strong support and resources. Last season, Seann was offered an all shows produced contract with UPN for their "contemporary Bonanza" television series titled Legacy. Seann’s work dates for the pilot were unable to be worked out due to his now completed commitment to Chad’s World. His face has also been seen from his basketball playing appearance on a national Sunny Delight commercial and the current American Express campaign with Magic Johnson. Seann was also seen this year on Something So Right for ABC. Seann shot a lead role in Aerosmith’s recent music video, Hole in My Soul from the new Nine Lives cd, which is playing on MTV. Previously Seann has worked with Mark-Paul Gosselaar (of Saved by the Bell) and Talia Shire (Rocky) on the NBC movie of the week, Born into Exile, and has had a recurring role in the Warner Brothers TV series Unhappily Ever After, as well as appearing on Sweet Valley High.

It gets worse, only worse. One day we have lunch with Seann William Scott, who plays Stifler, the movie's jock-prick-jerk. Well, guess what? He tells us that like Thomas, he is a Christian and that he grew up in a family that "lived for our trust in God; even in junior high, people used to call me Church Boy." Indeed during his high school years in Minnesota, he never drank, never smoked, was a member of the D.A.R.E. anti-drug brigade and was homecoming kino. And, in his eighteen years on this earth, he's had only one girlfriend - and her for only two months. "You know how it is," he says, waving a hunk of sandwich. "When a guy would say, 'Dudde, that chick wants to have sex with you,' I'm like, 'Yeah, but that would also mean I'd be having sex with the guy she also had sex with, 'cause she just had sex with him,' and so, you know"

Seann is a nice guy, a great guy even, and very funny, telling stories about his misadventures in L.A., like about how some South Central gangbusters once robbed him of his shirt, his shoes and a one-dollar bill while he was trying to get to a Baywatch audition. But we barely hear him, so appalled are we by this entire turn of events.
