In a time where politics and economics dominate creativity in the
production of movies, few directors take the risk of supporting movies that
show people what they don’t necessarily want to see or might not generate a
large profit. However, three time
Oscar winner Oliver Stone has managed to win the support of Hollywood
producers, funding his films that entertain yet send a message to both
critics and the public. Regardless
the subject, Stone always manages to succeed in changing the opinions of
all people. He has guided us
through the deadly forests of Vietnam, the streets of New York, the
orgy-like concerts of Jim Morrison, and the hard-hitting life of
professional football. He has
showed us the impact one bullet could do to a life, the destruction one
corrupt government could do to its country, and the wasteland one
great country could become if they are unwilling to change. With his magic, Stone always gets the best
performances from his actors. John
Savage, Charlie Sheen, Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger, Forest Whitaker, Johnny
Depp, Michael Douglas, Martin Sheen, James Spader, Tom Cruise, Frank

Joaquin Phoenix, Jon Voight, Billy Bob Thornton, Al Pacino, Dennis Quaid,
Michael Caine and Jamie Foxx are great actors and actresses, who have each
preformed beyond their potential with Stone’s guidance and
inspiration. They know what Stone
wants and expects from them, and they live up to his expectations, taking
us along on their journey.
