Regular Abilities: three flaps on head combine to a sharp point, can smack things with tentacles, bites with beak, can jump and impale enemies (strong enough to pierce rock)

Special Abilities: can combine with others of it's race to become larger (six combined to fight Gamera)

Weakness: susceptible to sub-zero temperatures (will freeze and shatter)

History: Viras is part of a race called Viras from the star Viras. Basically there is one leader Viras and five others disguised as humans, who came to Earth in their space ship and captured Gamera and a couple of boy scouts. They held the scouts hostage and controlled Gamera with a device in order to level cities. They technically gained control of the planet for a few minutes before the boy scouts screwed with their ship and freed Gamera. By combining themselves one large Viras formed and fought with Gamera. After impaling Gamera with it’s massive head Gamera took hold and flew into the upper atmosphere, freezing Viras solid and dropping it, causing Viras to shatter on impact with the ground.

Although the Viras race is technologically advanced enough to create spaceships and kaiju control devices, they don’t have much common sense (they were stopped by a little kids of all things). Outside of their technology an individual Viras is pretty weak, although combined together sheer size can be an advantage. Compared to Gamera though, this thing is kind of weak. Outside of acting like a lawn dart, it can’t do very much. Then again, lawn darts are very dangerous.
