History: A species of exceptionally large saber-toothed cat that was found frozen in ice at the temple in Ademaspai during one of Sinbad's many voyages. The sorceress Zenobia had followed Sinbad to stop him, and in a final desperate act she possessed the large cat. Breaking free from the ice, she attacked Sinbad, his crew, and Trog the troglodyte. After battling for a while she was eventually defeated by accidentally jumping on top of a spear held by Sinbad, who finished her off with a sword through the heart.

Fighting Power: ***

Sabertooths have a fairly simple form of attacking prey. The chase it down, wrestle it to the ground with their sheer strength, and go for the jugular with their large teeth. Although the saber-teeth are very effective, they get in the way and stop the cat from making any effective bites beyond the designed methods. Still, sabertooths are strong animals that can do combat very well. Testament to this is the battle with Sinbad, which despite being outnumbered 4 to 1 and lacking weapons of it's own, the sabertooth still was evenly matched. If it wasn't for a poor decision to leap at the wrong moment, Sinbad might not have won.
