History: The guardian of the ancient underwater civilization of Seatopia. He is basically a big beetle with 4 limbs instead of 6. He was sent by the Seatopeans, who were mad at nuclear testing, to destroy the top-side earth. He attacked the nearest city, Tokyo, and then got in a fight with Gigan as his partner, against Godzilla and Jet Jaguar. He lost, and went back underground.

Megalon is surprisingly powerful. The explosive balls can set the ground on fire. He can dig underground to pop up and catch opponents by surprise. He can fly around and shoot a ray similar to Ghidorah’s. He has all the ability to be a powerful foe, exept one. He is a goofy idiot! Although he is by far not the smartest monster, his pure fighting ability makes up for that.
