History: an ancient monster that was defeated 1,000 years ago and sealed away in ice. Released in 2001 to defend Japan against a vengeful Godzilla resurrected from 1954. He fought valiantly, but was greatly injured, and when Godzilla was ready to finish him off Mothra took the damage instead. She gave Ghidorah her power upon death, and Ghidorah grew larger wings to become King Ghidorah. He fought Godzilla into Tokyo bay, and thanks to the power from a piece of a sacred statue, he gained the ability to shoot electricity in beams. Despite causing injury to Godzilla, King Ghidorah eventually lost the fight and was disintegrated himself. However his "softening-up" of Godzilla allowed for a daring move by a small submarine with a drill missile, poking a hole in Godzilla and venting his energy, causing Godzilla to explode.

Fighting Power: *****

Although he started the battle fairly weak, Ghidorah eventually gained enough power to fight Godzilla almost to a standstill. Unfortunately one good blast of thermonuclear breath was still enough to take Ghidorah out. Still, Ghidorah has more power than ever, capable of not only flying and shooting beams, but also discharging electricity at close range and bringing up a shield that uses the enemies’ power against them. An overall powerful monster indeed, but still no match for Godzilla.
