Regular Abilities: numerous 100-meter long tentacles in chest that can bash/whip/crush things, four main tentacles end in sharp points, sharp spikes on arms, membranes in tentacles that when opened allow flight at mach

Special Abilities: absorbs the life-force of other creatures and gain their special abilities, can project a slicing sonic-beam or shoot plasma balls (an ability from Gamera) from tips of main tentacles

Weakness: soft-point in chest (where Iris can hold a symbiotic human)

History: An ancient creature genetically engineered possibly by the same civilization that created Gyaos and Gamera. It is also theorized that it is a mutated form of Gyaos. It possesses the same connection to a human mind that Gamera has (through a pendant), and awoke once it chose the appropriate host (a girl who hated Gamera because he accidentally killed her parents). Named after a cat, Iris absorbed life-force to grow to it’s full size, and followed the girl that awoke it to absorb her completely. Iris fought with Gamera, who stopped the merging process, and was defeated when Gamera absorbed a plasma blast shot by Iris and unleashed it into Iris’s chest.

Iris a strong, brutal fighter possessing numerous abilities. The tentacles provide a wealth of combat opportunities, and Iris is smart enough to use them well. The sharp pointed arms are also useful in impaling enemies, and are even strong enough to go all the way through Gamera. Iris is also agile enough to dodge and counter attacks, and is even a good at fighting while flying. By far the most useful ability is the power to absorb the life-force of the opponent, not only weakening the combatant but also gaining it’s abilities. This has the possibility of backfiring (like it did in the movie), but it’s still a useful ability indeed. The only true weakness to this powerful kaiju, though, is a number of weak points in it’s body that a strong kaiju can use to kill Iris. Then again, that’s the case with pretty much any living creature (having one’s innards blown up tends to not go so well).
