Godzilla vs. Monster Zero

***
Godzilla is Put in the Sci-Fi CategoryAfter the success of "Ghidra, the Three Headed Monster", they decide to make another Godzilla movie with Ghidra(called King Ghidora here) in it. They also decide to permanently stick the Godzilla series in the Sci-fi section.
A new planet(or moon, I’m not sure witch) is discovered beyond Jupiter(even though dark planets can still be seen). Japan(yeah, like Japan has a space program to speak of) send out a cheesy looking space ship to there for studying(before the moon? What gives?!). They discover a race of superior aliens(duh!) that are being pestered by King Ghidora. In exchange for the use of Godzilla and Rodan(1&2), they will give earth a miracle cure. They agree, and Godzilla and Rodan tell Ghidora to shoo. They aliens then turn bad(who saw that one coming!) and send the three monsters to Tokyo(yeah, like that one city represents the world.).The humans find that the aliens are weak to a strange noise that was conveniently invented by one of the main characters. They us that and some strange A-cycle ray to defeat the aliens and free the monsters from mind control. 1&2 scare 0 away.
This movie is waked! Instead of looking like a cheesy Godzilla movie, it looks like a cheesy old space movie(right down to the dorky space suits, ray guns, and humanoid aliens with antenna on their heads). This movie has a gazoolian bits and pieces that are inaccurate, weird, or just plain funny. It has so much that I can’t list them all(and I don’t want to give away much either, find them out for yourself.). This movie is the cheasiast of all Godzilla movies(dangerously cheesy!). It may look dumb, but that’s it’s good part. I especially like the part were Godzilla does his victory dance!
Even though it’s cheesy, the special effects are pretty good for the monster parts. The fight scenes are fun and well made. The problem is that they started the practice of putting in stock footage and pretending it is new, especially for the Rodan destroying parts. Despite this, the scenes were slipped in good and the new scenes were great. They are apparently constantly improving. Interestingly, there is an American actor in this movie doing the part in Japanese. My guess is that Toho got sick of the Americans ruining their movies, so they pre-slipped one in there. This is also one of those message movies(Space people are evil! Stay away from them!).
If you like cheesy old sci-fi movies, then this is as cheesy as it gets. If you are a serious Godzilla fan, it won’t be very good for you. This is one of those movies that some people love, others hate, and there is very few in between. I’m personally am one of the few inbetweenies, because I like silly old movies and Godzilla, so this one insults me and makes me laugh all at the same time. Like it or not, I think everyone should watch this one, because it is such a difining moment in Godzilla history
