History: A legendary monster. One particular legend is found in the story of Sinbad the Sailor. On his Golden Voyage, Sinbad came to the Fountain of Destiny on the island of Lemuria. The caves surrounding it are home to both a griffin and a giant centaur. These creatures of conflict represent good and evil, respectively. They are caught in an eternal struggle, but on the day that Sinbad came, the balanced was "tipped" by Koura, and the centaur killed the griffin. The centaur then was killed by Sinbad.

Fighting Ability: ***

Part eagle, part lion. The griffin is a strange hybrid of two animals. It has the head (and wings) of an eagle and the body of a lion, even though the claws are more powerful on an eagle and the mouth is more powerful on a lion. It's still not all that bad of a fighter though, equally matching the monstrous centaur. It is very strong, able to use it's strength to shove things around and take powerful swipes at them. Also, it's beak good for slicing opponents up. Still, it's not all that powerful of a monster. It would be more powerful if it could fly, but it never seemed like it could.
