History: The assumption is that he is the original Godzilla from 1954, resurrected and charged by the souls of the lives lost during World War II. As such, he has a vengeance against Japan, causing destruction and killing it’s citizens to extract revenge. It appeared again in 2001, and fought with Baragon, a guardian monster. After defeating Baragon, he then fought against the military, Mothra, and Ghidorah. He blew up Mothra, which gave energy to Ghidorah, allowing what became King Ghidorah to knock Godzilla into Tokyo Bay. After defeating King Ghidorah, Godzilla swallowed a submarine, the pilot of which shot a missile through a wound that Godzilla received. This caused energy to vent out the hole whenever Godzilla tried to use his thermonuclear beam, and eventually it caused him to explode. His still-beating heart resides at the bottom of the bay and will most likely regenerate so that Godzilla can attack again.
Fighting Power:
*****Well, any monster than can blow up another monster in one shot would definitely be high on the power list. Although this particular Godzilla is big and slow, he’s still devastating in melee fighting as well. Now the lack of pupils indicated to some that he is blind, unable to see the way most creatures do. Instead he has a bit of a "six-sense", capable of "seeing" the world around him in a different way that encompasses everything around him. On more then one occasion he laid blows into his opponent sneaking up on him without even turning around. This could be due to the his connection with the vengeful souls that have possessed his body. Now since these souls are bent on revenge beyond any logical means, the basic result is a walking automaton of destruction that doesn’t go much beyond his design. Put in other terms: he’s not very smart. This Godzilla is single-minded to the point of blowing himself up. If he were to lay off the thermonuclear blasts when they were blowing out his shoulder, he would have survived, but since killing things is all he does, well that was the end of him. Still, despite the lack of intelligence, sheer power can still win the day as the defeated guardian monsters prove.
