History: A second Godzilla appeared in 1999, and to combat this a "Mechagodzilla" of sorts was built based on the skeleton and DNA of the first Godzilla of 1954. After four years in the making, they sent "Kiryu" (Mechagodzilla) against Godzilla. Kiryu went "Out of Control" after Godzilla roared (a resurgence of past memories), and Godzilla himself swam away, confused about the situation. After Kiryu was fixed, both it and Godzilla fought each other again, this time leading to a tie with both sides damaged. After healing for a year, Godzilla swam back to Tokyo, killing a Kamoebas along the way. He fought against Mothra, two mothra larvae, and Kiryu at the same time. He managed to kill Mothra, but was wrapped in a cocoon by the larva. Kiryu then went "Out of Control" again, this time picking up Godzilla and plunging into the Japan Trench. Godzilla is assumed to still be trapped there.

A Godzilla with all the powers that a Godzilla should have, but not the brains to use them properly. He has a habit of just standing around, wondering what the heck is going on. Still, when it does come time to attack, his attacks are quite powerful. The thermonuclear beam can rip through just about anything, and his regular attacks can also crush the opposition. A powerful monster overall, but not one of the stronger Godzillas.
