History: There was a species of huge Preying Mantises living on the same island Minya was born. Due to a radioactive storm accident, causing three of them to grow even bigger. They went after Minya’s egg for some reason, and hatched it. Godzilla came and killed a couple of them. The third was killed by Aspiga. For some reason, they were left out of Destroy All Monsters.

Not very powerful if you ask me. Toho must not have done research on real mantises, because they just don’t act like real ones. My guess is that they were trying to do a rip-off of America again, this one based on The Deadly Mantis. Although lame alone, there is strength in numbers. Basically, every three equals another *. Three=**, Six=***, Nine or more=****.
