History: The monster chosen by the Xillians to attack New York City in 20XX. Later on was part of the battle against Godzilla at Mt. Fuji along with Anquirus and King Caesar. After fighting with Godzilla for a while, a mid-air collision knocked Rodan down, causing him to crash against a mountain to fall unconscious.

The master of the sky, Rodan can out-fly just about anything. The sonic waves created cause massive destruction wherever he goes, and combined with his agility it makes him a powerful monster to reckon with. In a battle against a grounded enemy, Rodan can swoop in for hit-and-run tactics, and although he can also dodge anything thrown at him, all it takes is one good hit to knock him out of the air. A strong force to reckon with, but the lack of a special weapon limits his utility.
