History: In his first appearance, he captured Mario’s girlfriend, Pauline, and was beat by Mario because of it. He tried again, but after losing to Mario a second time, he decided to turn friendly. He then was with Mario, competing in various sports, on a friendly nature. He also settled on an island that looked like him, and fought his nemesis, K. Rool, on many occasions.

I mainly put him in here as a joke, but he is also here so King Kong can whip his little gorilla butt! I actually quite like DK, owning a few of his games and all, but he bears such a close resemblance to King Kong that it is reasonable to believe he is a rip-off! Movie-makers are notorious for ripping off of King Kong, and video game makers have that to. He may be a classic Nintendo character, but he's still not quite original. (In all actuality, Universal sued Nintendo when the original Donkey Kong came out. Nintendo won, essentialy making ripping off of King Kong legal)
