What exactly is Wicca?

Ah yes the question all wiccans will be asked at least once a week. Many wiccans do net consider wicca to be a religion, they either consider it to be THE religion or The truth. This is because, much like America, wicca is a melting pot. Wiccans consider themselves enlightened, or at least "aware" (not superior mind you), we recognize the fact that there are too many coincidences in worldly religions, many of which could not have possibly interacted with one another, for all of them except one to be wrong. Two symbols that are widely used by many religions are the five and six pointed stars, often referred to as the pentagram and star of david. The pentagram has always been used in magical mystery religions and pagan practices or as a symbol of the power of nature and/or magic The star of david is most commonly known for its representation of the Jewish religion but it also has another link, a pagan one. The six pointed star of david is also referred to as the seal of soloman, having magical/mystical properties as well as having meaning to ancient alchemists. Wicca is in short a recognition of such relationships and the combining of their faiths into one comon truth. But wicca unlike christianity and judaism is an unstructured religion. The individual has complete freedom to believe what their heart tells them is real and practice how they wish to practice, there is common magical knowledge (often referred to as the well worn path) but byond that is the road to self-discovery. and as a small added not, in wicca there is no good or evil only what is, wicca being a nature religion is based on the laws of nature and its methods of functioning, a wolf is not evil for killing a deer, nor a deer for killing grass is it only natures way, in nature there is no evil, no evil wolves, giraffes or ardvarks, but there is right and wrong and those are what we call morals.
