Here's a page dedicated to our daughter, Alanna Lois LiOwen. She was born on May 22, 2005 at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, CA. She was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 19.25 inches long. We will try to update the site with pictures and other statistical information.

Here is compliation of pictures from May 2005 to mid December 2005:

Here's some holiday pictures. I'll try to group them in chronological order. Alanna had fun helping us wrap presents for Christmas and playing with the ribbon. She is also a natural at opening presents. She now has so much toys we don't even know what to do with them.

I know it's been awhile, but I've been super busy with school, her multiple 1st birthday parties, and trying to stay a bit sane while doing everything. She had 2 birthday parties in San Francisco at my parent's house and at Giorgio's. Then one more in San Jose at Sandy's house. There are 3 albums for you guys to look at so enjoy!

There has been so many things that have happened since the last update. She is growing like a little weed and running around, driving Sal and me crazy. The pictures are going to be from July to early November. We went to Fleet Week, Half Moon Bay to pick out pumpkins and Casa de Fruta as well. There are going to be three albums with hundreds of pictures for you to look at. So I suggest getting comfortable before doing so. Enjoy!

Happy New Year, everyone! Well we've been busy with Christmas and a 15 day trip to Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Macau this past holiday season. We all had a lot of fun and saw many new things. Alanna did great on the plane trip and actually said, "More!" after the take off and landings. She also speaking and understanding Chinglish with Cantonese spoken around her 24/7, which I only understand although Sal is beginning to pick it up as we're going. Alanna's become for assertive and whiny (which I completely blame my 3 year old 2nd cousin who I wanted the smack as soon as I met her...she is just bad news). I have already started on breaking that nasty habit by becoming the mommy who won't give in (most of the time). She's starting get back into her normal routine and a much more reasonable time schedule. So in about another week we should be fun. So enjoy the pictures!

I finally realized that although I had good intentions of putting up pictures from our trip overseas as previously mentoned, I hadn't put up the pictures. Slight oversight on my part, but I've been busy with school, graduating and looking for a new job.

And as of June 11, 2007, I became the new transportation planner for San Benito County Local Transportation Authority. So what's this all mean? My responsibilities will be to manage the public transit system for San Benito County. Although I do not manage the day to day operations, I am responsible for improving the system little by little, keeping my current customers happy, and recruiting new customers while keeping my drivers and dispatchers happy.

So back to what you're really here for, pictures and updates about Alanna. Well she turned 2 in May and has been pretty good for the terrible twos. She does have her moments. We've been potty training her off and on (mostly off) for almost a year if not more. It's been hard being that we're off doing something in San Francisco or in the South Bay every weekend. We're just going to have to buckle down and do it. She knows what she needs to do, but she's lazy like me and Sal and prefers to use her diaper instead. But I just bought a potty chart and step stool so we'll see how that goes. Alanna knows her alphabet by the sounds it makes, not necessarily the name of the alphabet. She knows how to correspond words to the sounds (I love the LeapFrog videos. The songs are annoying, but Alanna's learned a lot from them). She can count when she wants to. I can understand her most of the time, but she still has that baby jabber. Sal is doing much better with the Cantonese as he is learning right along with Alanna. Enough about us, here are the pictures you have been waiting for.
