Season Two is often called the best Buffy season ever. And while I wont disagree that it is pure brilliance, I do have to say that there are a few eps that I absolutely hate from this season and I dont really get that from the other seasons to be honest. But perhaps that is because this season was so brilliant.
We see the first full length season bringing in the best story arc ever.
Buffy continues with her slayage while getting closer and closer to Angel, vampire with a soul, until finally after making love to him he loses his soul, causing him to go evil and try and kill Buffy and her friends.
Episodes like 'passoion' 'i only have eyes for you' 'killed by death' and 'becoming' parts one and two make this season tho most amazing thing.
The season ends with Buffy having to kill Angel after his soul has been restored to stop the demon Acathala awaking.
The relationships in this season are wonderful quite apart from Buffy/Angel, we see the comic pairing of socialite bitch cordelia and slacker Xander, the coming together of Willow and werewolf oz and the short tragically ended relationship of Giles and Jenny Calender.
The seasons big bad, quite apart from Angelus are the wonderful Spike and Drusilla.
A dramatic season ending leaving Buffy leaving Sunnydale after being kicked out of school, accused of murder and thrown out by her mother and grief-ridden.
