Ranking System

Current Rank Report...

Our Swordsmanship has three Rank Groups. Note that The instructors are called Master, though they don't necessarily have to be the rank Master. It is a sign of respect.

The first of these groups is the Trainee/Apprentice stage. There are Levels 1-10 in this group, "one" being the highest rank, "ten" being the lowest. Performance in class increases or decreases rank. It is difficult to decrease, however it is possible. The step up from Trainee Level I to Specialist Level 5 is the most difficult step in advancement for a trainee.

The Next Stage is the Specialist Stage. This is an honourary stage acheived by skilled swordsmen. This group is comprised of Levels 1-5, "one" being the highest, "five" being the lowest. Exemplary performance is necessary to Level-Up. Demotions are still possible, yet even less likely. It is extraordinarily difficult to promote to Master Stage.

The Final Stage is the Master Stage. It is the most difficult stage to reach, requiring amazing skill, good conduct, correct mindset, and vast knowledge. Every Master is an honourable rank. This rank demotes only due to extreme misconduct. There are four ranks- A, 1, 2, and 3. "Three" is the lowest Master form, and "A" is the highest.

If a student wishes to gain rank,He/She must request a test from an instructor or master. By any chance the Masters are absence, the power to test will be given to the instructor or higher rankng student. Testing will include,Stances, Special techniques, Knowldege of form, Neatness(Apprentices), Ettiquette and creed, and or cutting (Intermidiate and up).
