Midnight Thunder

 

moonlight snapped by lightning bare

thunder crashes to the earth

dreams of you shattered, as I reach out in the night

but you're not there anymore

can't remember why you left… left me alone in the cold

I saw the clouds building in the sunset

ignored them til it was too late

I lost it all in the storm

my world was split by midnight thunder

 

rain is supposed to be a birth

but now all it is are the tears I cry for you

I want what I can’t have, I'm grasping at straws tonight

baby, what happened here?  when did I go wrong?

tell me please… and make it all right
