It’s hard to stay away from a person I lust,
To have you standing near to me is a must.
It’s hard to keep myself from being with you,
But we’re not meant to be together and it’s true.
It’s simply hard to say goodbye to a routine,
A road that was sometimes not as serene.

We have a character which makes us different,
In the end we are from each other too distant.
We are living in a world of dissimilar illusions,
If we stay together it will be filled with confusions.
We are best in who we are when we are apart,
Some things don’t always come from the heart.

It’s easy to make our worlds seem so hard,
When we play a game with the wrong card.
It’s easy to say to someone “I simply quit”,
But the consequences are what we finally hit.
It’s easy to do all the things we won’t normally do,
The answer in our actions is seeing us through.

For now it’s best for me to leave you alone,
Let us attempt not to cross our given zone.
You’ve made it clear for me to understand,
That we don’t need to hold each other’s hand.
For now we’ve chosen to give ourselves space,
I only hope that memories won’t erase our trace.
