Statue of Symbolism

Back to Dragon Child

I saw a woman wrapped around a circle,
She must have been special, somebody royal.
I saw this symbolism from a good distance,
It was strange but I didn’t think of difference.
I saw her lost right in the middle of the forest,
She was peaceful yet I seemed to have noticed.
I saw her smile like she wanted this to happen,
As if before this place, she lived in a prison.

I didn’t know what to look at she seemed dark,
She looked at me as if this property was her mark.
I didn’t know the reason for her to be destined here,
But I knew whatever her purpose; she was rare.
I didn’t know why day after day I kept returning,
It seemed as if through her image I was learning.
I didn’t really know what was going on in my head,
But I knew that deep down it was something she said.

She taught me poise like I never knew could be,
I felt something powerful that I couldn’t see in me.
She showed me the woods as nature had played,
I would have been isolated if in my village I stayed.
She spoke words to me through her own language,
And I understood every whisper of her message.
She gave me a new meaning I never knew before,
Now I am addicted to her, I want to know more.

Every time I came to her, the birds were singing music,
She had this exceptional touch something truly magic.
Every time I see her expression, she had this smile,
As if all of this restless waiting was worth her while.
Every time I thought why this place was her symbol,
It seemed that she only was trying to claim her title.
And every time I remember that she is only a statue,
I understood the truth for the dream she pursued.
