You cannot perform a change in me even if you try,
You would give it a shot but the ending is a goodbye.
It’s not worth to modify the things being found in me,
At the ending of the day, you know who I will always be.
You cannot change every detail that makes me unique,
It’s like telling me I have no such voice to even speak.

You think it’s so easy to have things coming your way,
It’s just like having a role in an act where you have to play.
It’s not me; I guess you have to get this thought in your head,
Imagine whatever you want when you sleep in your bed.
This is a world where you have to accept what is real,
You don’t like it; I think that’s the way you have to feel.

I tried to change so you’d have a smile on your face,
I tried to understand your view and give you your space.
I wanted you to love me but love went a little bit too far,
This is not who I am and deep down it’s leaving me a scar.
I wanted to be everything for you so that you’d be happy,
You’re in my heart; you’re the only one to drive me crazy.

Just because I have flaws doesn’t mean I want to be perfect,
I don’t always have to do whatever you would want to expect.
As we learn from each other, we get to love what we fell for,
It gets much more harder to walk away from that heavenly door.
You think that change is something that is done for the best,
I can only be me, there is no sense trying to destroy all the rest.
