Appearance: Paien wears a pair of white, asylum issued pajama pants and a red straight jacket. The color of the jacket was of most importance within the hospital itself as it clued doctors and other employees of his status as "code red" or highly volatile. Before his escape, he wore nothing on his feet, however; once out of the asylum for good he quickly took over the boots of a random citizen. His crimson eyes add to his ability to terrify, and he uses it to the best of his advantage. His red hair generally falls loose and shaggy to his waist, but there are random occasions where nurses or orderlies have been baffled by it being neatly braided.

Background: Born in the Lycanthropic capital of Tlseni, Paien was raised primarily within the Temple of Life. At the age of eight he astonished the elders of the temple by successfully summoning each of the five known summons. Though shocked and amazed, it also frightened the elders, as they'd never witnessed such power in such a young body, and by the time he was ten, Paien was completely insane. Controlling the powerful mind of a ten year old put tremendous strain on the elders within the temple, and by the time Paien was eleven, they could no longer keep his power under lock and key, he was therefore sent to the asylum in Crimson City and all but forgotten to his own people. Throughout the years, he has escaped the hospital a total of twenty-one times, twenty of them only to be caught by the shapeshifter detective, Lupix Kelav. His twenty first time, however, he managed to escape for good.

Strengths: Though all Lycanthropes summon the same form of sacred beast, each one differs in power equal to that of their summoner and while Paien is not the most powerful, his summons make up for what they lack in brute force by emitting a nasty side effect when they are defeated. These include electrical aftershocks, poisoning, blindness, all sorts of nasty little tricks. He is also exceptionally adept in the elemental power of water and can actually draw out a body's inherant water content. If near the open sea he can command the waves to swell into towering tsunamies or even provoke the smallest stream to flood its banks.

Weaknesses: He is most susseptable to lightning, but is also completely unarmed. Paien will run rather than allow his opponent the opportunity to get near him, but cornering him is not a good idea. Paien is also vulnerable to the summons of the Lycanthropic warrior monk, Nihm, who is immune to his creatures' side effects.

Other: Orderlies and nurses at the Crimson City Asylum feared Paien the most out of all the patients there. His ability to kill with a glance struck fear into any assigned to his floor, of which, his was the only room occupied. He is also capable of calling forth three secret summons, summons that even the wisest of the temple elders never dreamed possible.
