Hikari was restless. He usually was conked out by the time he got to bed but tonight was different. He got out of bed and got his pajamas on. They were deep blue with moons and stars speckled all over. Hikari had a thing fo the moon, he guessed it probably was because it's were his powers were derived from. All elements are derived from either the sun or the moon, and Hikari's power, Ice, came from water which was under the moon. Perhaps that's what told him to go outside, it was in fact a full moon tonight. He got on his slippers (the same shade of dark blue) and walked onto the deck of the Silver Flame. All were asleep except one, a figure standing near the edge, watching the moon. It was Kuro. Kuro in her nightgown, unlike practicaly everyone else on board, Kuro slept in a nightgown. Hikari thought it made her look like an angel. Hikari walked up beside her and said, " I've always found something... mystifying about a full moon."
Kuro answered," Yes, it really is beautiful out here at sea, there are no lights to block it out, it shines in at its full luster." There was silence after, perpetrated only by the whistling of the sea wind.
"There is nothing more beatiful than Kuro right now." Thought Hikari. "I could right poetry about this one moment that would rival Shakespear's sonnets." he mused. "You are the most beatiful sight in the world right now." Thought Hikari.
"What did you say?" asked Kuro, "What!?"Hikari said a little louder than he should have, "You said something... you said the word beatiful." Kuro answered.
"I said, I said...." Hikari stuttered, suddenly a great sense of calm fell on him, " I said, You are the most beautiful sight in the world right now," Hikari said strongly, "and I meant it!" He said, "I've loved you ever since I first saw you, I know you don't love me but, I would rather love you and you know it then me having to keep it from you."
Kuro was speechless, she was shocked at Hikari, she had known he loved her but thought it was comparable to a school-boy's crush, but she had to admit, over the past few months she had gotten to know Hikari and now, now she was confused. Things suddenly clicked for her, " I love you too Hikari, I used to think you were just a weirdo, but now, now I think I return your love." Tears welled up in Kuro's eyes, "I truly love you Hikari!"
It was now Hikari's turn to be speechless, he just had one impulse, he bent down, slowly, ad turned his head as Kuro turned hers, and they shared their first kiss. It was a kiss only true lovers could give each other, it was not lustful, nor was it passionate, it was pure love.
Somewhere behind them they heard appplause, at first Hikari thought it was his head, but he soon realised Kuro could hear it too, the both released from their kiss and looked towards the other side of the boat, the whole crew was there, everyone from Shakaku in her black pjs to Mekuna in her red silk ones.
"We were wondering when you two would finally pull down the barriers and admit you love each other!" Shouted Shakaku, "Congratulations Hikari!" Hikage added.
So Hikari ad Kuro did only what one can do at a situation such as this, they smiled and kissed again.
Hikari: I"M GONNA KILL YOU!!!!
Hikage: Gotta go *starts running*
