Through my studies, I have come to the conclusion that the impact of Greek architecture is somewhat defracted. Although Classical Greek architecture is visible in many buildings, it is often mixed with Roman and modern styles. There appears to be minimal amounts of "pure" Greek architecture in the United States. This definatley represents our countries idealism as a whole. We are not a country of one style, or origin, but of many meshed together. This is represented in part by our combination of architecture styles. This is not only noted in classical rooted architecture, but also in southwestern architecture, for example. Southwestern Architecture mixes mexican and Native American style architecture together, once again displaying a "melting pot" type theory.
