Even by mere observation while driving through Philadelphia on a fine sunday afternoon, one is able to determine that the Greeks had much to influence the architecture today. They have influenced our use of the three different types of columns: Corinthian, Doric, and Ionic. They have even influenced the names of street signs within Philadelphia as one may be able to see in the 'Columns' link; these are actual street signs in Philadelphia! However, they do not only influence the architecture of museums and universities, but they also influence the structure of homes throughout Philadelphia and the rest of the nation.
