[The segment opens in a small tattoo parlor where Shadow sits as his old friend DC works his art on Shadows body.]
[Shadow winces.]
Shadow: Damn, I hope this is worth the pain when your done.
[DC laughs.]
DC: This is coming from the man who claims he spent the last two years in hell.
Shadow: Man, all that time without Trin in my life was worse then hell. I felt like I had lost my will to live. I had given up hope, and almost let all my dreams die.
[DC continues inking on Shadow's chest.]
DC: Yes, but look at you now. You have Trin back at your side, and you are both in the MWA. Speaking of which, hell of a debut losing your first match. It may have turned out differently if you had not lost so much weight.
[Shadow closes his eyes as if he is thinking.]
Shadow: I had not eaten much, and lowered my workouts, but since I got everything turned around, I'm working to get back in shape by the next pay-per-view. I plan to be back between 275 to 300 pounds, and since joining the MWA, I have reached up to 235, and I need to be in the best shape I can be. I just found out I'm in the Hell Title Tournament, and have a first around match this week againest Chris Lighting Herbs.
[DC stops and looks up at Shadow.]
DC: Should be interesting, light VS. dark. I'm sure your ready for your first victory in the MWA.
Shadow: It's more then that, DC. It's about capturing some gold next to Trin, that's the most important thing in my life. Speaking of Trin, she is a little upset over the type of match I'm in. It's called Darkness Falls. We will both be blindfolded with weapons scattered throughout the ring.
DC: Sounds like your type of match. You should have no problem winning it at all.
Shadow: Never underestimate your opponent, DC. Any fighter who does is as good as beat. Look at the size difference in David and I. He beat me 1,2, 3, though next time I will work to totally eclipse him.
[DC picks up his needle and continues working on Shadow.]
DC: Dude, is there anyone in the MWA that you like or respect?
Shadow: I respect every superstar in the MWA and their ability. At least if I didn't think Jackie Sweets was a worthy opponent, do you think I would have gave him an eclipse last week at BattleZone? I knew the man had the skills. I had to take advantage of the opening I had and use it.
DC: I heard some fans do not know what to make of you. Dude, rather Shadow is a face or a heel, and the way you attacked that fan last week during your match, you seem to be going in the wrong direction.
Shadow: The fans pay their money. They can cheer or boo me. As long as I get a response from the crowd, then I know I'm doing my job - entertaining them. As for that fan last week, the fans have to realize we are in a match. We get in a combative mindset and when someone touches you, your first instinct is to attack and defend yourself. The barriers are there for their protection as well as ours.
[Shadow winces as the needle moves along his skin.]
Shadow: Last week, there was a story in the news of a wrestler who has been harassed by a stalker - not only him, but his family as well.
DC: Shadow, you're not that famous yet to have a stalker.
Shadow: That's not the point, but if anyone is going to need protection, it's Chris Lightning Herbs when I get him in the ring. I will let nothing stand in the way of my winning that Hell Title. After the hell I lived through these last two years, I deserve that title. They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. When I get done with him, this lightning will not be striking anywhere for awhile.
[DC stands up and puts his needle away.]
DC: Take a look in the mirror, dude.
[Shadow stands in front of the mirror.]
Shadow: It's perfect, DC.
The mirror shows a reflection of Shadow's chest, where a huge tattoo of the sun is being eclipsed by the moon. The moon is the ying-yang symbol with Trin's name tattooed in black in the white area, and Shadow's name tattoed in white in the black area.]
DC: So, where you headed now, dude?
Shadow: I got to pick Trin up and take care of something very important. When I talk to you again, I hope to have some good news. I know my motto is to "Leave the fans wanting more to come across as a bit of a mystery - an enigma," but if this turns out alright, I want the world to know this news. Later man.
[The screen fades to black.]
[Appearing on the screen is a desserted, roadside cliff, out over the city. Trin and Shadow sit on his Harley looking at all the lights.]
[Trin looks at Shadow.]
Trin: Are you okay, love?
[Shadow smiles at her.]
Just thinking princess, that's all. You know how I want to win some gold?
[Trin looks down.]
Yes, I know, but I still don't like the idea of you in this Darkness Falls match.
[Shadow lifts her chin and kisses her passionately. As they break the kiss, Shadow gets off the bike and kneels down on one knee before her. He pulls a small black box from his jacket, holding the box up to her, opens it, and looks up at her.]
Trin, will you marry me?
