Increasing Your Productivity
In Session 3, you will improve your productivity in creating and editing worksheets. There is a brief discussion on Excel's professionally designed templates. In addition to learning how to copy and move information and how to insert and delete columns and rows, you are introduced to Excel's built-in functions for performing standard calculations. This session provides you with some of the most powerful tools that Excel has to offer.

1. Read Session 3 in the Excel text.

2. Perform steps in Session 3 saving the "My Loan Table", "Sales Reps", and "Functions" files in the working folder on your data disk.

3. Perform the Hands-On exercises at the end of Session 3 saving the

"Income Statement" and "Mortgage" files in the working folder on your data disk. You do not need to print out these files.

4. Backup your Excel data disk and submit the five files by attaching them to an e-mail message.
