I WALK ALONE

The road stretched out before me
Grey skies swirling overhead
No way to explain, nor understand
How it is that I live with the dead
Voices mingling in my mind
Each begging for a space
None knowing that I must exist
Slowly, though, I do traverse
Along this misery laden path
In solitude I make my way
All obstacles I shall surpass
This body just a simple shell
Put through much torment
This mind, this soul, survive it all
Upon this firmament
