HALLS OF SORROW
Here in the halls of sorrow
You walk with me each night
To remind me of my promises
And reinstill the fright
With open arms you welcome me
As so many times before
Into your den of hostility
Never safe behind closed doors
I'm not the person you wanted me to be
The one to hide for you
You clipped my wings, I'll never be free
Trapped in this world alone
Although the promise is broken
And the chains swept aside
Each night I visit that den
And you know the secrets that I hide
The ones that have been locked so tight
That not even I can see
The ones that kept this soul from flight
Keeping you pinioned to me
