DEAD HEART

Close my eyes, never to see again
No more lies, never to hear them
Wrapped in arms, I cannot feel
Ignorance harms, I cannot heal

Searching for a way out
Screaming silent
Inaudible shout
Noises in my head
Echoing forever
My heart is dead

Come with me, take a walk
Set me free, embrace the dark
Hold my hand while I drift
To a land of innocents

Found the door
To my escape
Can't take anymore
Hole in my chest
Where my heart once was
Maybe this is best
