DONIPHAN - Leta Steele, 80, of Doniphan died Monday Feb. 18, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Steele was born Oct. 19, 1921, at Bennett. She was a housewife.
On Sept. 20, 1941, she married William Fred (Jack) Steele in Doniphan. He preceded her in death Dec. 14, 2001.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and Doug Steele of Doniphan; two sisters, Cleta Blanchard of Doniphan and Edna Gordon of St. Clair; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan Cemetery.
