DONIPHAN- W. F. "Jack" Steele, 81, died Friday, Dec . 14, 2001, at the family farm on Route 7.
Mr Steele was a lifelong resident of Doniphan, born June 12, 1920. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer and was retired from the U. S. Forest Service.
On Sept. 20, 1941, he married Leta Ollar; she survives.
Also surviving are two sons Larry Steele and Doug Steele both of Doniphan; a sister, Geneva Miller of Doniphan; a brother, Guy Steele of Doniphan; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home, with burial in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
